Do you need that inspiration and motivation to push you out of your home and make you hit the gym, a spinning class or maybe just go for a run? Well, you are in luck today. A short video of an adorable police dog doing push-ups with the officers is sure to motivate you to start your workout soon.

According to, the K-9 Nitro is a 2-year-old Dutch shepherd who joined the Gulf Shores Police Department’s canine unit in February.

In a seven second video posted by police on Facebook, the dog raises up and down with the officers as the song “Eye of the Tiger” plays in the background.

“K9 Nitro, Officer Cowan and Officer Hancock are getting warmed up and ready to apprehend any bad guys that break the law,” the police department wrote on Facebook.

The video is a part of social media trend – #9PMRoutine – and has a message for the residents ahead of the holiday season. Corporal Josh Coleman, the department’s social media coordinator, said that it encourages residents in the community to “remove valuables and lock up before going to bed.”

The video has had over 758,000 views and has been shared over 27,000 times since it was posted on Sunday.
