Malala Yousafzai, the youngest Nobel laureate and Pakistani activist shared the first look of her soon to be released picture book titled Malala’s Magic Pencil.
She shared a photo of herself holding the new book on twitter and wrote that she was “thrilled to find a copy” of her first book in the mail.
The book is about Malala’s childhood wish for a magic pencil that would “make everyone happy, to erase the smell of garbage from her city, to sleep an extra hour in the morning,” according to the book’s publisher, Hachette. The book is set to be released in October
“But as she grew older, Malala saw that there were more important things to wish for. She saw a world that needed fixing. And even if she never found a magic pencil, Malala realized that she could still work hard every day to make her wishes come true.”
Malala also shared a picture of her mother who is currently learning English and was the first to read the book.
