Finally ‘Lipstick Under My Burkha’ is all set to release on July 28. The film was under a lot of controversies before release . The Central Board of Film Certification has refused to certify the film as it was lady Oriented.
‘Lipstick Under My Burkha has won the Oxfam Award for the best film for gender equality. and it is a very bold film which revolves around four small town women who try to break the way the society thinks about women and assert their self made identities.
The reason which censor board gave for not certifying the film was “The story is lady oriented, their fantasy above life. There are continuous sexual scenes, abusive words, audio pornography and a bit sensitive touch about one particular section of society, hence film refused under guidelines (sic).”
Out of all the Odds it is all set to release on July 28 which is directed by Alankrita Shrivastava and produced by Prakash Jha and the distribution rights are bought by Ekta Kapoor .
