The sheriff’s office in Seminole County got an unusual assist in corralling a suspected car thief.
The stanford police reported that they spotted the stolen Subaru SUV on Monday and tried to chase it.
There were three people in the stolen SUV, the driver, identified as 46-year-old Jamie Young, passenger Jennifer Kaufman and Erin thomas.
The officers tried stopping the vehicle by using stop sticks causing it to crash near a pasture.
One of the passenger Erin Thomas stayed at the SUV while the other two tried fleeing into the field.
Jamie Michael Young, 46, was quickly apprehended by a K-9 unit, but the other, Jennifer Anne Kaufman, also 46, was about to have a different kind of animal encounter.
As she was fleeing the, Kaufman was being chased down by a herd of cows. A pilot in a police helicopter above the scene immortalized the encounter

“Actually, a large group of cows is following her, for a good visual, Looks like they may attack her, keep going southeast. She’s pretty far into the field now. If you see the large group of cows, they’re literally following her and chasing her ” he said to his officers below.
The video shows Kaufman running across the field with about 20 cows close on her tail. One cow even looks like it tried to catch her, eventually herding her into the arms of law enforcement.
Kaufman and Young are charged with drug possession, resisting arrest, trespassing and petit theft.
She remains in the Seminole County jail instead of $4500 bond.
