Bug Bulglary, Thousands Of Insects Stolen From Philadelphia Museum

Almost 7000 insects and spiders were stolen from Philadelphia insectarium.

They include highly venomous spiders and other creepy creatures which is estimated to be around $50,000.

Thieves made off with 90 percent of the museum’s collection. They were stolen from city’s Insectarium and Butterfly Pavilion last month.

Insectarium CEO John Cambridge said that he believes this to be the largest insect heist in the history.

We know exactly who did this. They escaped from the back with all these boxes. We caught them on camera, They took all the stuff and never returned to their shifts again, Cambridge said.

Several of the thieves even left a card by sticking their uniform.s to the wall with a knife.

After the theft the museum has created a Go Fund Me page to replace all the missing creatures so that it can educate and engage people with the wonderful world of the insects.

The theft also includes a 6 eyed sand spider whose one bite could rot 25% of the humans body. Watch out all the Arachnophobes in Philadelphia.
